Buffalo Appraisal Company has served the citizens of rural Missouri since 1991. The original office was a 14' travel trailer out at the farm in Pumkin Center. Appraisals were typed by hand on an electric typewriter. Service was provided to 27 counties from the Arkansas state line north to Warrensburg and from Christian County east to St. Louis County.

In 1992, an IBM PS2 computer was purchased and electronic appraisals could be created.

In 1993, Bob Rowe opened an office in Buffalo and is now located on South Maple Street just one block from the square.

Windows based software and the ability to receive appraisal requests electronically has enhanced our ability to provide accurate and timely appraisals. We have also added the ability to submit appraisals via email in .pdf format and through Lighthouse decreasing time from order to delivery by several days.

Bob Rowe has continued his education to include FHA certification.

Jan Johnson joined the company in March of 2005 coming from a real estate and technology background.

A website with an online appraisal order form was added in 2005 for the convenience of our clients.
